Their entire journey from War-torn Syria to Rio Olympics will be shown in the movie. The movie completely revolves around the Syrian sisters Sarah Mardini and Yusra Mardini.
The story begins with their happy and comfortable childhood when they enjoy swimming practices and take part in swimming competitions. However, their happiness didn't last long until The Syrian Civil War breaks down in 2011 which took many innocent lives.
After the war, their life was like an inmate locked in prison. Their daily life was incredibly disturbed and it was impossible to pursue their career. However, the sisters continue to practice in their local pool. But in the following year, the situation got worse with fighting and heavy bombarding.
Producer Ali Jaafar has presented the story to the audience so that they can connect with the pain and suffering the people are suffering due to the war. The film has already premiered last month at the Toronto film Festival and London Film Festival.
The production includes some of the biggest names and screens like Scriptwriter Jack Throne, Director Sally EI Hosani, and Executive Producer Stephen Daldry. Overall from the trailer, the movie would justify their incident.

The chaos during the Syrian war was impossible to ignore. Similarly, their house was also destroyed, and her father, Ezzat was also detained in case of mistaken identity and tortured by the paramilitaries.

They were moving from an inflatable boat with 18 other refugees even though the boat was meant to be for only 6 to 7 people. After the motor stopped, the boat leaked, and it began to sink into the water in the Aegean Sea. Both of the sisters, along with two other people who can swim, jumped into the water. They pushed the boat for over 3 hours until the entire group reached Greek. They then traveled to Germany.
They settled in a refugee center in Berlin. Similarly, their parents and younger sister, Shaed, also joined them in Germany.
They joined the swimming club near their living area. The coach in the pool, Sven Spannenkrebs, supported and trained them and also managed to participate in Yusra in the Rio Olympics, in 2016. She amazed the world by winning a heat. She was in every headline of the news. Similarly, on the other hand, Sarah abandoned Swimming to provide humanitarian assistance on the beach of Lesbos.
